Re new you and You Will Re new all by: Rev. Jim Toole

Renewal is a popular topic for the New Year. It usually refers to the changes or resolutions each of us make for the New Year to be different. We know, of course, that it is not just a decision, and we know everything we do is not just for us, it is for all!

As the year ends and the New Year begins, many of us are looking around to see how our life is. We look at what worked and what didn’t, what fits and what doesn’t. This is a good start because it will begin to give us an idea of where we have to look in order for things to truly change, within.

Everything outside of us begins with a thought within us. Every thought within us is inspired by the love of our heart and the purpose of our soul. Our heart holds the deep desire that is true and real. The inspiration of the purpose of our soul is the driving force behind everything we are and eventually choose to do.

It is who we see ourselves being within, that is the catalyst for change. What we call truth is the foundation we step into life from. Our inspiration, our spirit expressing, is the essence of our soul reflecting through us, giving us a clear sense and view of what is true, at least for us as individuals. Trust and follow the flow of you.

As you do, watch how you create and manifest inside out. Who you are within becomes the life around you, how you live and what is in it. Once you have begun the process to renew you, you are already bringing all of who you are to all that is. You are part of the energy that is the blessing that helps renew all.

As this New Year begins, listen to the whispers of your heart (your desires) and trust your intuition (the embodiment of your inspiration) as you decide to be who you are (re new you) and in our unity and oneness, what all of us are together (re new all).
Happy New Year to All!

Board meetings are open to voting members and we encourage members to attend and learn more about the operations and decision making process of our Center. The board also desires input from members and we appreciate hearing your questions and suggestions.

Healing Ministry

We thank all of our healers for being channels of healing energy and being of service at the center. Our basic healing class curriculum begins in January. Anyone interested in healing during our Wednesday and Sunday Morning services or learning about healing please contact Rev. Jim.

We would like to thank Phyllis Lambert for all that she has done as the healing ministry coordinator in 2019. We would like to congratulate and welcome Ranie Brothers as the new healing ministry coordinator for 2020.

Healers will begin meeting in January after the second morning celebration (1/12) of the month in Flexer Chapel to share healing with one another (Healers Healing Healers) and have a potluck or go out to lunch after. Please plan to be there to begin the connection, communication and collaboration of the healing ministry of the center for 2020.

We are here to support you in your health and well-being. Whether you are facing a physical challenge or otherwise, we are here for you in your daily life. We are always available to send energy, healing and inspiration. We are grateful to share that we have received wonderful feedback from those who have asked for healing and the blessing it has been for them.

Anyone who would like to receive healing may call or email the Center office or go to the contact page of our website. Rev. Lisa Johnson oversees this process. Our healers are dedicated to be there with the healing you need. Someone is always there for you. Let us know how we can support you.

Hands of Light

The year 2019 was a very busy one for our Center and for the Hands of Light team.
Everyone came together to make our Founder’s Day celebration very special and the Elegant Evening with Spirit was wonderful. During the year, we celebrated each month with a different theme, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, etc. We had a big Easter celebration with an egg hunt for the children of Every Day Blessings. We had a Farewell party for one of our long time members and found a good reason to celebrate each month! Through your donations and generosity, we were able to collect clothing for the Stillpoint Mission, food for the food bank and some Christmas cheer for the youth who have aged out of foster care at Springboard. We cannot thank everyone enough who helped us make this year a memorable one. We were busy, but it was filled with joy and camaraderie for each other.

The New Year will also be welcomed with our January coffee hour on January 5th, which will have a Winter Theme. Any donations of goodies, sweet or savory are always welcome.

We plan to continue our community outreach programs and offer the monthly coffee hours. In February, we will have our annual “Souper Sunday” where everyone is encouraged to bring their favorite soup to share. Details will be following next month.

The Hands of Light team is open to anyone who wishes to stop in and see what we are all about and perhaps feel inclined to join us. We do have a lot of fun and fellowship in the team and would love to welcome new members. We meet on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 5:30 in Davis Hall before the evening service.

ALL ARE WELCOME, PLEASE JOIN US!!!

Education Committee

The Education Committee would like to thank everyone who has participated in making the education program at the center and all it offers possible this past year. So many have contributed to helping schedule, facilitate, participate and teach.

We have a wonderful schedule of classes, workshops and events in January. Everything from a Burning Bowl Ceremony to Self-Hypnosis, Spiritual Resolutions and Walking with Angels. We will have a Beatle-Palooza concert with Faerie Elaine Silver, William Meader presenting Soul Purpose and the Seven Rays and a full day workshop Seven Ray Workshop: An Adventure in Self-Discovery and ending the month with visiting international mediums and longtime Spiritualists, Al and Geoff Potts with An Evening of Historical Spiritualism.

Our Basic Healing Certification Classes start in January for those interested in being healers during our Wednesday and Sunday morning services or learning about many different aspects of healing. If you would like to participate or have any questions please contact Rev. Jim.

We all have so much to look forward to in the New Year. Please come be a part of this loving community at our Center of Light.

Love and peace to you,
Joan Volpe, Chair

Infinite Insights

Be ye lifted up means that you must lift your mind and spirit. Work at lifting yourself above conditions that surround you in this material world. If you are feeling low and depressed, you add nothing of value to any project. You have to lift yourself up to attune to the God Power. Then spiritual and happy vibrations can be injected into the material things when you are happy; then you attract and absorb only things spiritual and good. When depressed, you attract lower vibrations and the whole day can be ruined.

People don’t always know where to put the blame for their depression. They may have failed to open the door to better things by lifting themselves above the negative vibrations. When tired and depressed, one has no incentive to do things that are worthwhile. Be lifted up mentally and spiritually so the body will respond in a positive way to be happy and healthy.

You are loved. 

Blessing Bowl

Each month on the second Sunday at both services and at the Wednesday Candlelight service, a special collection is made to benefit a charitable organization.

The total collected in December was $370 for Everyday Blessing Springboard Program. Thank you to everyone.
