A Fathers Love – From the Senior Pastor – Rev. Jim Toole
As young children we “look up” to our father to give us what we can’t give ourselves. As young adults we look “to” our father for the guidance to discover how we can be who we are in the world. Later in life we look “at” our father as an influence of who we have become. No matter where we are in life, our father, and his love, holds a powerful and important place in our heart.
The father figure represents providing for, safety, security and the assurance everything’s going to be OK. It is a father’s duty always to take care of his children. This duty is not a thought or an idea, it is an internal urge from within the soul of every father. In the same way that each child feels safe in their father’s arms, so does each father feel fulfilled by offering that embrace.
Each of us experiences growing up and our relationship with our father differently. When we look at our father through the circumstances and situations of our lives we see him for what he did and the influence he has had on us. When we look at our father through our heart and soul we find a divine and sacred connection that reaches beyond the limits of life. This eternal bond offers a strength and encouragement, through our father’s love, in our lives.
By releasing our perception of the image we have of our father and opening up into the purity of the connection we have with him, we are able to feel the power and presence of who he is with us and for us now. We can then be cradled by his love and feel the sails of our ship of life filled with the wind of his inspiration. We can let go and be carried upward and forward by the energy and essence of what we have always looked to him for, even as a child.
Our father may have been responsible for helping bringing us into and caring for us in this world, and yet, his presence in our lives and his love in our hearts is heavenly. When we look closely, is there a difference between God’s Love and A Fathers Love.
Take the time, no matter where he is, or the circumstances, to remember and cherish the love, connection and inspiration that your father is in your life, today and forever.

Sincere Gratitude for Heart Centered Kindness & Acts of Service
The most loving, warm and sincere gratitude goes to Gerald O’Hara for writing a book about our beloved founders, Dorothy and Russell Flexer. Our May Book Launch was a huge success and we are most grateful to Gerald for gifting the Center with the Copyright and for keeping our beautiful legacy alive and well.
We have huge gratitude for the entire out-of-own guests who played an active role and contributed their talents to ‘I Come to the Garden.’ Tom Newman was present, as was Robert Carr, both from Santa Fe, NM. Tom shared lots of pertinent information about the book and Robert designed the stunning book cover. Margaret Hodge from York, England provided Dorothy’s astrology and serves as Eric Cargill’s battery during his trance demonstrations. Elizabeth Rhoades, also from York, was on hand as she contributed her editing talent to the book.
It was sheer delight having Eileen Courtney attend the dedication of her mother’s book. She provided Gerald with full assistance and photographs of her parents that would not have been available otherwise. Heartfelt Appreciation goes to Eileen!
It goes without saying how much we appreciate Eric Cargill’s workshops and trance demonstrations as well as his evidential mediumship. His teaching skills have a profound effect on all of his students. Having both men as ‘Members at Large’ says a lot for the Center. It’s a mutual love and appreciation that we have for each other and for Spirit!
Our very own Mike Markaverich dazzled us with his performances on Sunday at both services. The energy in the Sanctuary was ‘over the top’ magnificent. We also want to share our gratitude to his lovely wife, Debbie, for her beautiful contribution. We Love you & Appreciate you Mike and Debbie!!!
Kudo’s to our Hands of Light Team for coming through like the Angels they are, not only for the Book Launch but, for our beloved Scarlett’s Celebration of Life as well. You inspire all of us to be our best and serve with a big scoop of Love.
Let us catch you doing something inspiring in next month’s column.
It takes a Village to keep our Center of Light glowing brightly!
